Kathmandu roads are still in worst state

By Our Reporter
The demise of a 38-year-old Yoga teacher on Friday after falling into a manhole that had been left open for six months by Kathmandu Uptyaka Khanepani Limited in Kirtipur, showed the sorry state of the roads in Kathmandu.
Although roads in several areas of the capital city looked cleaner this Dahain, they are not safe even for a disciplined man like Shyam Sundar Shrestha, the yoga instructor of Chagal area in Kirtipur, who met untimely death by falling into the open drain in the midnight.
He is suspected to fall into the manhole after hitting a concrete slab.
