Former King’s birthday to be observed

A civic committee has been constituted to observe former King Gyanendra’s 73rd birthday on 23 Asar. The Main Civic Committee chaired by Dwarikaman Singh Pradhan has decided to organize different programmes for three days on the occasion of the former King’s auspicious birthday.
Co-chairmen in the birthday celebration committee are Geeta Kchetri Rana, Bhesh Rajyalaxmi Singh, Indira Malla, Kishori Mahoto, Manjuratna Shakya, Jyotsana Rajyalaxmi Shah a and Indra Bahadur Thakuri.
Similarly, Jagdish Khadka, Prakash Chitrakar, Ramkrishna Pant, Teknarayan Rajbanshi, Rina Tulachan, Jamuna Sherchan, Rishibabu Pariyar, Liladevi Shrestha, Sayendra Bantawa, Parshuram Tamang, Dr Usha Thakur, Dhruba Maharjan, Taranath Luintel, Shanta Shrestha, Shyam Timalsina, Rajaram Shrestha, Kancha Gurung, Keshari Pandey, senior advocate Bishnu Bhattarai, Subhadra Bishwakarma, Bishnu Prasad Sharma, Anil Basnet, Ramu Rai, Meera Rana, Sadaya S Rana, Indra Bahadur Shakya, Ghnendra Bahadur Basnet, Pradeep Bikram Rana, Sushma Acharya, Abadkumar Thakur, Maniraj Tamang, Tanka Bahadur Shrestha, Dr Padam Tuladhar, Keshab Bhandari, Bikram Bahadur Bam, Shankar Poudel and Indra Kumar Chamling are the vice-chairmen in the committee.
Radheshyam Thapa is the general secretary of the birthday celebration committee in which hundreds of people from different walk of life are included.
