Former King extends New Year greetings

Kathmandu, 13 April, 2019: Former King Gyanendra Bir Bikram Sah Dev, on the eve of New Year 2976 BS, has wished for happiness, peace and prosperity of all the Nepalis in the country and abroad.

In his New Year greetings, the former King has recalled that he found people suffering from countless problems and plights when he was at the doorstep of the people’s home. Thousands of Nepalis have gone foreign countries for employment, people were unable to get facilities such as education, health and they are prohibited from humanitarian services, the former King has expressed worry.

The former King, expressing his commitment for the nation, has urged for a political system based on democratic values, executive, legislature and judiciary based on separation of power.

Former King Gyanendra has affirmed that he is always with the nation and Nepali citizens for national indivisibility and democracy and urged for reviewing the past mistakes and being united for greater interests of the nation and national unity.

May the New Year bring new thinking, new practice and new light, the former King has wished.
