Commoners in Pokhara greet former King, demand restoration of Hindu kingdom

By Our Reporter
People fade-up from the dirty role of the political leaders, gathered at the Pokhara Airport to greet former king Gyanendra on Monday.
Upon arrival of the former king along with former queen Komal at the Pokhara Airport Monday afternoon, a large number of people greeted the former Royals and chanted slogans demanding restoration of a Hindu kingdom.
The former Royal couple is scheduled to spend two weeks in Pokhara and visit different Hindu shrines there.
The former Royal couple travelled to Pokhara by a scheduled Buddha Air flight. On this also, many Twitter and FB users have written their status saying that the former King is travelling by a scheduled flight whereas the ceremonial president has needed private helicopter spending 150 billion rupees from the government treasury!
Not to forget, Pokhara is known as a place having politically sensitive population. NC still believes that Pokhara is its vote bank. Of late, communist voters have also increased surprisingly. When such a large gathering was seen in Pokhara to greet a deposed king, one can easily assume to what extend commoners have become frustrated from the present political system and the act of the political leaders!
