By Our Reporter Although the police have started implementing the report prepared by the Parliamentary Committee formed under UML lawmaker Surya Bahadur Thapa to investigate the embezzlement of cooperatives' fund by Rastriya Swatantra Party chair Rabi Lamichhane and others by arresting Chhabi Lal Joshi, former Deputy Inspector General of Nepal Police o the same case, there is still suspicion whether the report will be implemented. This suspicion looks natural as many similar reports prepared in the past have not been implemented. They are only gathering dust. However, the latest report could be partially be implemented because it was prepared targeting Lamichhane when he was deputy prime minister and home minister. Probably, Lamichhane will be detained and a case will be filed against him leading to his suspension from the parliament, and if the court delays in giving its verdict, he will be prevented from contesting elections in future, thus ending his political career. The report has clearly suggested actions against all four associated with the Gorkha Media including Lamichhane, GB Rai, Joshi and Kumar Ramtel. While GB Rai is hiding in Malaysia and it is now not easy to bring him back, Joshi has already been held. Now Lamichhane is likely to be arrested soon. Prime Minister KP Oli may also be very angry with RSP supporters for chanting slogans against him in the USA, and he is likely to push forward the case of Lamichhane even to shut the mouths of his supporters. Now the RSP supporters are venting their ire against NC and UML parties and their leaders, particularly Gagan Thapa, Bishwo Prakash Sharma and Dhanraj Gurung. As such, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak will proceed with actions against Lamichhane, and if he is implicated, his political career will come to an end, because in the past all the leaders who faced criminal charges in court could not return to politics. Khum Bahadur Khadka, Jaya Prakash Gupta, Govinda Raj Joshi and Chiranjbi Wagle disappeared from national politics after they faced cases, Khadak died but others are leading an isolated life. Thus, the latest report may be implemented to end the RSP and leader Lamichhane.
