By Our Reporter Medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai has been held. Prasai was detained on Sunday for an offence under the Electronic Transactions Act. According to the police, a woman leader from Rastriya Swatantra Party, Jwala Sangraula, has filed a character assassination charge sheet against Prasai. After the complaint was filed against him, the Kathmandu District Court authorised the police to issue an arrest warrant against Prasai and investigate him. Bhaktapur Police Range assisted the CIB in arresting Prasai from his Kameretar-based residence in Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-6, Bhaktapur. When he did not open the gate of his house, police entered his house by climbing the compound wall. The court had granted permission to the police on Wednesday last week to proceed with an investigation against Prasai. The court has also granted permission to arrest Jeevan Pandey from Baglung and Prakash Chandra Dahal from Dhading, along with Prasai. Meanwhile, the Kathmandu District Court has granted a three-day remand order against Prasai to begin further investigation. After his arrest, Prasai expressed ire against Prime Minister KP Oli and said he would fight with Oli throughout his life.
