Kathmandu, September 14: Unified Socialist Party’s vice general secretary Metmani Chaudhary has remarked that India has the evidence to claim on the Kalapani, Lipulekh and Limpiyuadhura territory. Chaudhary, undermining the historical and geographical fact that the territory up to the Kalapani River belongs to Nepal, has supported the Indian encroachment on the Nepali territory. The government following a consensus among all the political parties, had amended the constitution and published a new political map by incorporating the territory after India published a new political map by including the Nepali territory. In an interview recently, Chaudhary said India has evidence to claim the Kalapani territory. His party the Unified Socialist has asked a clarification regarding Chaudhary’s controversial statement. Earlier, when the then MP Sarita Giri had denied accepting the territory as Nepali land, she had to quit the MP’s post. People’s News Monitoring Service.
