Constitutional Council fails to name new CJ
Kathmandu, September 14: The meeting of the Constitutional Council chaired by Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli held on September 13 ended without conclusion.
When PM Oli proposed to name the new chief justice in the Supreme Court, main opposition party leader and member of the Council Pushpakamal Dahal said that as many constitutional posts remained vacant, all should be appointed at once, the meeting could not take any decision.
The meeting ended with the proposal for another meeting on Monday, September 16.
