Kathmandu, 2 December: Though the counting of votes is still underway, leaders of various political parties have intensified their consultation meetings to lead the next government. Overambitious CPN Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal  aka Prachanda is in  the forefront to form the government at the earliest and lead it. There is less likelihood of forming a new government within a month as power struggle has surfaced in Nepali Congress. Selection of parliamentary party through election, complete announcement of election results may prolong government forming process. Parties, including Nepali Congress (NC), Maoist Center, United Socialist, Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, and Rastriya Janamorcha have reiterated the need for giving continuity to the five-party alliance. And Prachanda has insisted that he should  lead the government this time as Deuba was given a chance earlier. Prachanda has reportedly requested Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal to assist him in his mission of becoming the Prime Minister, suggesting him to raise  the issue of 'a package deal', deciding appointments in constitutional bodies, Chief Ministers, and provincial heads including President, Vice President and Speaker. There is a deep division between the top leaders as who will lead the next government  albeit they have been saying that it  should be formed on the basis of consensus.
