Kathmandu, 28 November: Ashok Rai of Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Sunsari constituency-1. According to the Election Commission, he received 17,059 votes. Rai was supported by CPN-UML. Rai's closest rival  Goma Tamang of the National Independent Party, got 16,606 votes while Muksamhang Subba of Nepal Communist Party (Maoist Center) received 13087 votes.
