
Kathmandu, 25 November: After being elected from Mahottari -2, Democratic Samajwadi Party leader Sharatsingh Bhandari has set a journey to Parliament for the seventh time.
Bhandari won as a member of the House of Representatives by getting 25, 190 votes. His nearest rival or Dr. Bijay Kumar Singh of Tarai Madhesh Democratic Party got 11,120 votes.
Bhandari has been active in politics for the past 40 years. He got the opportunity to represent the people of Mahottari in the partyless Panchayat system, monarchy and republic system.He has been elected 7 times after becoming a candidate from Mahottari nine times including this election. He was defeated only two times in the electoral fray.
