According to Election Officer Dolnath Neupane, Giri garnered 36,842 votes and his nearest competitor Komal Oli of the CPN (UML) got 29,032. Similarly, Kamal Subedi of Rastriya Swatantra Party got 15,300 votes. Ninety thousand one hundred and fifty of the total 146 thousand 475 registered voters cast votes in Dang-3 constituency in the election to the HoR and Province Assembly Member held on November 20.
