Home Ministry says no security threat in elections
Kathmandu, 18 November: The Ministry of Home Affairs has said that election-focused security has been strengthened. Home Secretary Binod Prakash Singh, keeping the heads of all three security agencies aside along with representatives of the Nepali Army, said that the Ministry of Home Affairs is committed to conducting the elections for the House of Representatives and provincial assemblies on Sunday in a free and fair environment.
Singh has requested all the voters to vote fearlessly and enthusiastically. He said that all the security personnel including temporary police are working round the clock to conduct elections in a fair environment.
The Ministry has requested the voters participate in the voting process without being lured or intimidated by anyone.
