BABBLES

Last week, when K.P. Sharma Oli claimed that he will return India-encroached Nepali territory if the UML will be able to form a government, Baburam Bhattarai, known to be a blue-eyed boy of Delhi, promptly countered Oli saying that he is performing a role of patriotic alike King Mahendra and Hitler.
This is an example of to what extent Bhattarai is scared of those who think about their motherland!
Not a surprise, he is Delhi’s man and is doing his duty obediently!
Prachanda and Bhattarai’s morale
We all are aware that Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda is a tourist candidate. Every time, when he contests an election, he is changing his electoral constituency. This time, he is contesting election from a constituency in Gorkha, the birthplace of the Great King Prithivi Narayan Shah, founder of the modern Nepal.
Prachanda is the person who wanted to remove the great contribution of the Great King Prithivi, but to ensure his victory, he chose Gorkha by giving assurance to Baburam Bhattarai for assigning the latter as the President of Nepal.
We feel glory while recalling the history of Nepal and the contribution of King Prithivi in building a Hindu kingdom at a time when present India was ruled by the Christians. But Prachanda and Bhattarai have no sense and pride in the role of Gorkha in the formation of present Nepal.
It would be an unfortunate moment for us if the Gorkha people will elect such a foreign mercenary. Moreover, it would be utterly unfortunate if Prachanda will become the PM and Bhattarai will become the president of the country created by Great King Prithivi.
“Vote for the candidate who can fly on a helicopter”
Maharani Dr Arzu Deuba, addressing an election assembly in Dadeldhura, asked the voters to vote for them who can fly on a helicopter.
It doesn’t have any connection with the election and candidates. Should we understand that those candidates, who cannot fly on a helicopter are not eligible for being a candidate? Should we believe and understand that to vote for those who can fly on the helicopter because he can distribute the black money to the voters?
QUOTES OF THE WEEK
- There is a need for a new original national philosophy to save the nationhood and sovereignty of our country and lay a strong foundation based on the democratic system that is compatible with the spirit of the Nepalese people.
King Mahendra
- The speeches (by leaders) try to prove that you (voters) are slaves, now it's your turn to answer. Let your vote prove that the new generation is not a slave but a citizen empowered with rights.
Rameshore Khanal
- What is Election Commission doing when Sher Bahadur Deuba is buying votes like this?
What is the source of that 72.2 million rupees distributed to the NC workers by Deuba?
Isn’t it India's investment in Nepal?
In return, the Indians will capture all our rivers in the next 5 years.
Madhav Acharya
- Prithvi Narayan Shah's name comes up in terms of the unification of Nepal. However, when evaluating in terms of state management skills, foresight, operational ability, patriotism, etc., it does not seem that any statesman who can come to the level of King Mahendra was born in Nepal.
Rabindra Mishra
- Yes Deuba ji! India is arbitrarily taking stones from Nepal to build an embankment across Khalanga, the headquarters of Darchula. The local people are angry. Did you say anything about this in the Dadeldhura election assembly? Did you do anything to protest or talk to the Indian government? That it doesn't touch you?
Bhim Rawal, PhD
- Will the 5-party alliance and 3-party alliance survive after the 20 November election? When listening to the speeches of the leaders, the signs of new polarizations are already visible!
Laxman Ghimire
- Baluwatar land scam, Wide Body, Yeti, Omni, Audio Record, CCTV etc scandals, Congress, UML, and Maoists are silent! There is no discussion on MCC, SPP, or citizenship, nor Lipulek, or Kalapani in the discussion! In every election for 32 years, the futile debate of backwardness, nationalism and the main issue of corruption has been overshadowed! Unfortunate!
Jayant Nath Khanal
- In Karnali province, only half of the houses were illuminated.
When will the electricity reach Karnali and the residents of Karnali will not have to wander elsewhere for employment?
Ratna Sansar Shrestha
- One thing is clear — all three parties (NC, MC and US) are subordinate to RAW.
Madhav Acharya
- Corruption is not only an illegal transaction of cash, if someone does not fulfill his responsibility, if the person who is supposed to serve the people does not do it, if the person who has the responsibility and authority does not do it, that is also corruption.
King Gyanendra
- Now we Nepalis should understand that till yesterday they were walking around the temple, cursing God, why today they entered the temple and received tika!
If MCC is good for the country, why they are not making the MCC their election agenda?
People know the enemy of the nation.
The people’s fresh mandate may wipe out those worthless and harmful leaders. There must be innovation and honesty in the leadership. The corrupt should be in jail and the wealth earned by them should be nationalized.
Policies, laws and plans regarding our development are made without adequate study/homework. This has made the problem worse. The available resources have not been utilized.
The policy study/research agenda needed to solve this problem was not found to be raised with much interest in the manifesto of any party.
Surya Raj Acharya
- Until the country cannot keep its productive class (youth) within its own country, until then, the declarations of economic prosperity are all lies!
Dr. Toshima Karki
He (ex-President Dr Rambaran Yadav) also contributed to the unpopularity of the presidential institution. How can respect be shown to him who exploits the state by asking for a separate vehicle with taxpayers' money to bring guests to his residence?
Sharad Raj Pathak
