Kathmandu, 31 October: The Election Commission (EC) has completed the printing of around 70 million ballot papers for the elections to the House of Representatives and the Province Assembly.
Around 80 million ballot papers are required for the purpose of voting for the twin elections taking place on coming November 20 simultaneously. As the EC said, now just 11 million papers are to let to be printed. The printing of ballots towards the proportional electoral system has been completed while towards the first-past-the-post system, 28.68 million ballots papers have been printed.
Of the ballot papers that have been printed for the FPTP, 12.95 million are the Province Assembly and 1 4.63 million are meant for the federal election. The EC continues the transport of ballots along with its printing. The shipping of PR ballots to all 77 districts except Manang and Mustang has been carried out.
