
Kathmandu, 14 October: The government has decided to extend the term of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the Commission of Inquiry into Disappeared Persons.
The meeting of the Cabinet this morning issued an order to remove obstacles to extend the term of office of both commissions according to Section 42 of the Investigation, Truth and Reconciliation Commission Act 207.With the issuance of the order, the term of both commissions has been extended until mid July next year, according to the government spokesperson Gyanendra Bahadur Karki.
