
Kathmandu, 26 August: The meeting of the five-party alliance is going to take place today also as Thursday’s meeting could not decide on sharing of the seats for the 20 November election.
The meeting of supreme leaders of the five parties is called at 4 pm today at the PM’s official residence Baluatar.
Yesterday’s meeting asked the alliance task force for submitting a detailed report of the 165 electoral constituencies based on the influence of the particular party.
At the Thursday meeting, NC demanded 100 seats, Maoist Center demanded 60 seats, Unified Socialist Party demanded 40 seats, Janata Samajwadi Party demanded 32 seats and Rastriya Janamorcha demanded 3 seats.
Out of a total of 165 seats, the five parties have claimed 235 seats.
The alliance team is concentrated only on seat sharing for the federal parliament. After settle-down of the federal parliament’s seats, they are going to settle down seats for the provincial assembly election in seven provinces.
