Kathmandu, 7 August: The government has constituted an experts' team to suggest the government for construction of the proposed Nijgadh International Airport.  Former director general of the Civil Aviation Authority Nepal (CAAN), Birendra Deuja is the coordinator of the experts’ team, said Pradeep Adhikari, director general, CAAN. The cabinet meeting held on Friday constituted the experts’ team in which former finance secretary Rameshwor Khanal, infrastructure expert Suryaraj Acharya and experts in environment, development, economy, and aviation are included. The team should provide its report in one month.  The government, following the Supreme Court verdict dismissing all previous efforts for the construction of an airport in Nijgadh, had given the mandate to the government for moving forward following the advice from the experts’ team.  People’s News Monitoring Service
