
Kathmandu, 31 July: CPN-UML Secretary and former minister Yogesh Bhattarai has claimed that the then finance minister Janardan Sharma was found guilty of tweaking taxes by allowing unauthorized persons to the Ministry of Finance on May 29 midnight. "He is guilty among 30 million Nepalis", he said.
In a press conference held in Bharatpur on Saturday, Bhattarai said that Sharma was acquitted by the Parliamentary Special Probe Committee but he been convicted among 30 million Nepalis. "In the 11-member investigation committee, the majority belonged to the ruling party, and there were only four law makers from the CPN- UML, despite our dissent , investigation report was forcefully prepared in favour of Sharama," he lamented.
