Kathmandu, 28 July: US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu is landing in Kathmandu on Thursday while the correspondence regarding the Cabinet's decision not to join the US State Partnership Program (SPP) is stuck . He had came to Nepal just seven months ago when the  Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC)  ratification process the House of the Representatives was not moving  forward smoothly. Lu's visit to Nepal comes four months after the parliament approved the MCC and one month after the decision to join the SPP. According to sources, Lu is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka during his two-day stay  here  The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not disclosed anything about Lu's visit and agenda. The sensitivity has increased in the geopolitical situation. He might be coming with some message that may jeopardy our cordial relations with China and hamper in our own national interest.
