
Kathmandu, 19 July: The central working committee meeting of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC) concluded Monday with a decision to forge electoral alliance with the ruling parties in the upcoming elections to the federal and province levels.
The party decided to forge an alliance in the upcoming elections by holding dialogue with the ruling parties meant for orienting the NC to garner majority in the polls to safeguard the constitution and strengthen democracy and address people's dream for prosperity through a stable government, according to a press statement issued by the party.
The meeting has also concluded that the NC should present itself with a clear programme in the upcoming polls to bring about qualitative changes in people's livelihood through a stable government in the next five years. The CWC meeting has stated to build a common minimum viewpoint among the political parties in the alliance on implementation of the constitution, socio-economic transformation and foreign relations.
