
Kathmandu, 28 May: Police have arrested two members of a gang trying to sell government land. Keshav Prasad Adhikari, 72, and Ishwar Gaiju, 58, of Bhaktapur have been arrested for trying to sell government land in Sudal of the same district. They had swindled Rs. 52 million in advance by claiming that they had taken permission for the government land.
Dhaniram Rai, a resident of Diktel Rupakot Mazhuwagadi Municipality-14, had lodged a complaint with the police alleging that he had been cheated. Based on the complaint, a team of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested the two from the Bhaktapur Land Revenue Office.
