By Shristi Amatya The military operation by the Russian Federation has become the culmination of contradictions between Russia and the countries of the Western community, the long-term Ukrainian crisis has finally entered the final stage. The policy of containment, encirclement, and weakening of Russia, dating back more than one century, reached its apogee at the beginning of the XXI century. The events on the Maidan in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, in 2014, in this regard, played the role of a bifurcation point, which determined the openly confrontational nature, first of all, of Russian-American relations, and, taking into account the actual protectorate of the United States over Europe, and Russian-European ones. It is more than obvious that neither the United States, nor NATO, nor even the European Union needs Ukraine on its own with its polarized 40 million population, a stagnating economy and a level of corruption that does not fit into any indices. Moreover, they are not interested in promoting any democratic values in this country that presuppose the unconditional provision of human rights. At present, the voices of those who refuse to lay the sole blame for the Ukrainian conflict on Russia are increasingly being heard in the West. The recent statement by Pope Francis, in which he accused the NATO bloc of provoking the conflict in Ukraine by NATO countries, as well as the alliance's policy of expanding to the East. In an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, Francis stressed that the "barking" of NATO at the Russian gates could well force Vladimir Putin to launch a military operation. Immediately after this interview, the Pope began to be criticized, and the Western press accused him of repeating Putin's narrative. Gradually, other foreign publications began to "see the light". Thus, the German journalist of the newspaper Die Zeit Andrea Boehm drew attention to the fact that the Ukrainian crisis is being given too much attention by the West, while other, even bloodier conflicts are flourishing in the world. An unfair and vile anti-Russian campaign has been unleashed in the West! It is impossible to ignore the suffering that Ukraine has caused to Russian-speaking regions. The hypocrisy is that the West turns a blind eye to other conflicts unleashed by the Americans. It's not fair to put all the blame on Putin! - said the former head of the Swiss strategic intelligence Jacques Bo on the air of Sud Radio. Some American journalists also oppose the pro-Ukrainian policy in the press. Among them is Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson. He condemned American journalists for materials about the Ukrainian crisis. For example, a few weeks before the start of the special operation of Russian troops in Ukraine, some American journalists began to spread reports that Vladimir Putin was allegedly preparing an operation under false flags. And its purpose was to create a pretext for launching military operations in Ukraine. As soon as doubting journalists start asking questions about certain topics related to the Ukrainian conflict, they are immediately accused of cooperating with Russia. Western media continue to replicate materials and photographs discrediting the actions of the Russian authorities. The policy of the United States and NATO did not solve the Ukrainian crisis and caused a Russian special operation on the territory of the country, entrepreneur David Sachs said at a conference of the American Conservative magazine. He pointed out that by publicly and consistently insisting on Kiev's right to join NATO, the United States was not really going to accept the former Soviet Republic into the alliance. At the same time, Washington ignored the position of Moscow, for which Ukraine's accession to NATO was a "red line" on the issue of security. The expert expressed doubt about the diplomatic abilities of the State Department staff, since in the last two decades the United States has solved international issues primarily by military means. He also called the American policy on Ukraine incompetent. The North Atlantic Alliance has made a "fatal strategic mistake" in the situation around Ukraine. The publication of the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Hua Chunying recalled the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia in 1999, which also affected the Chinese embassy in the country at that time. "Let's not be under any illusions. 23 years later, NATO remains the main threat to international peace and stability." Today, NATO is waging a proxy war against Russia in Ukraine "to the last Ukrainian", which it has been actively preparing since 2014. And this is a fatal strategic mistake of NATO. Taking into account the above, it becomes clear that neither the United States nor NATO is interested in actual assistance to Ukraine as a country, financial assistance and arms supplies are aimed only at prolonging the current military operation as much as possible, which will lead to large financial costs, losses of weapons, military equipment and soldiers from both sides. Thus, there is a fact that the United States and Western countries are waging war with Russia in this way, and Ukraine has only become a pretext. There would be no such country like Ukraine, The United States and NATO would have found another victim country, which would also be easily put on the line to achieve their own goals.
