Kathmandu, 15 May: In the primary level result of the vote-counting of the local elections held on Friday, the alliance candidates are leading in five metropolis corporations, whereas, an independent candidate is leading in one metropolis corporation. In the Kathmandu Metropolis, independent candidate Balen Shah is leading for the post of mayor and continuously widening the vote difference with his nearest rival UML’s Keshab Sthapit. In Lalitpur Metropolis Corporation, Chiribabu Maharjan is leading to the post of mayor against the UML's candidate. In Bharatpur Metropolis Corporation, Chitwan, alliance candidate from the Maoist Center, Renu Dahal is leading against the UML candidate. In Pokhara Metropolis corporation, an alliance candidate from the Unified Socialist, Dhanraj Acharya is leading for the post of mayor. In Birgunj Metropolis corporation, an alliance candidate from Janata Samajbadi Party, Rajeshman Singh is leading.
