Unannounced load shedding hits industries
Kathmandu, 1 May: The unannounced load shedding for more than 12 hours for several days and 24 hours of load shedding for the last 24 hours has seriously affected industries in the Morang district.
Morang Commerce Association and Confederation of Nepali Industries (CNI) have drawn the serious attention of the government on the issue.
Electricity is the lifeline for the industries and unannounced load-shedding has raised the role of the Nepal Electricity Authority.
Drawing the attention of the government, the organization of the Nepali industries has asked to make public the load-shedding schedule immediately and not to cut-off electricity without any announcement.
The local industrialists have also demanded optimum use of local electricity for increasing the production capacity.
