Kathmandu, 3 January : Chines Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yanqi has stated  that her country welcomes any economic assistance to Nepal from the international community as long as the  government of Nepal deems it necessary. Talking to journalists at her office today, she  said that as Nepal is one of the least developed countries, it needs international support not only from China, but from other countries as well.  "We welcome any kind of assistance to Nepal if it’s in the form of economic cooperation. International financial cooperation is imperative for the socio-economic development of Nepal" On a different note, she urged people and government to standby Beijing on Hong Kong and Xinjiang issue."The Nepali government and people always adhere to the one-China policy which China highly appreciates. We hope that our Nepali friends can know better the nature of the incident, work with us to resist and oppose any words and deeds that interfere in Hong Kong and Xinjiang affairs, defend the basic norms of international relations, including non-interference in internal affairs, and safeguard the common interests of developing countries, " she observed.
