Kathmandu, 29 August: BIMSTEC foreign minister level meeting started this morning at the Hotel Soaltee, BIMSTEC summit venue.
Foreign ministers from all the member countries have arrived Kathmandu for the meeting.
Myanmar’s president Win Myint arrived Kathmandu on 28 August to attend the BMSTEC summit taking place on 30 and 31 August. On 20 August morning, the President went Lumbini to offer special prayer at the Mayadevi Temple.
Accordingly, on Wednesday morning Bhutan’s Chief Justice and Chief Advisor to the Interim Government Dasho Tshering Wangchuk arrived Kathmandu.
Due to the summit, general public in Kathmandu are facing traffic problems. Less vehicles are running in the roads as the Traffic Police has allowed only odd number vehicles for today. Roads have been tally closed before half an hour of the arrival of the VVIPs.
Schools in Kahmandu Valley have announced holiday on 30 and 31 August due to the traffic problem.
