Gobinda Biyogi road

President of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists Govinda Acharya, former presidents Harihar Birahai and Dr Mahendra Bista and Editors’ Society of Nepal chairman Puru Rishal jointly inaugurated the Gobinda Biyogi Road in Gurje Bhanjyang, Nuwakot amidst a gathering of senior journalists and locals on Saturday.
The Ward No 7 Committee, Shivapuri Rural Municipality, Nuwakot, respecting late journalist Biyogi’s contribution in the media field has recently decided to name the two km long road between Gurje Bhanjyang to Suryachour as Govinda Biyogi Road.
The Society is initiating the construction works of “Gobinda Biyogi Journalism Study Center” building at Suryachour, 13 kms north from Kathmandu Ringroad. The study center to be constructed on one and a half ropanis of land will be equipped with guest rooms, a seminar hall and e-library. The estimated cost for the completion of the construction works is 250 million rupees.
Local as well as foreign journalists, research fellows can stay and conduct research works in the study center after the completion of the construction works.
