Red-corner notice against Manange

DeepakThe International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol) issued a Red-corner notice against independent Provincial Assembly member of Province No. 4 Rajiv Gurung alias Deepak Manange on Sunday.
The Interpol issued the notice against him at the initiative of the Metropolitan Police Crime Division (MPCD), Teku.
With the issuance of the Red-corner notice, the 192-member Interpol police will search for his whereabouts.
Earlier in January, the Supreme Court (SC) had convicted Gurung in an attempted murder case and sentenced him to five years’ imprisonment.
Police have received a tip-off that Gurung is taking shelter abroad.
Manange, who was elected provincial assembly member as an independent candidate from Manang ‘Kha’, has served jail sentences several times on criminal charges in the past.
