For the first time of its kind, the Chinese international digital art exhibition on Tibetan cultural heritage was held in Kathmandu last week.
The exhibition, jointly organized by Xinhua News Agency and China Mobile Tibet Company was inaugurated by Vidyasundar Shakya, mayor, Kathmandu Metropolis on 10 November, was concluded on 13 November.
Shakya, in his inaugural address, said that the exhibition has contributed to enhance people-to-people relations between the two countries, Nepal and China.
Different ancient Tibetan art, culture, tourism and among other areas were presented through digital technology in the expo.
Zhang Bin, chief, cultural section in the Chinese Embassy described how Nepal is dignified with four “S” – Siddartha Gautam, Sagarmatha, sun sign, smiling face of the Nepali people.
Noted Nepali artist Sangita Thapa, acting CEO of the Nepal Tourism Board Sunil Sharma, Chancellor of the Fine Art Academy Ragini Upadhaya and Kathmandu station chief of Xinhua News Agency Zhau Shenping had also addressed the inaugural session of the Exhibition.
