Nepal has produced a rare win against India by 19 runs in ACC U-19 Asia Cup at Malaysia on Sunday.
It was the first win of Nepal over India in cricket.
Dipendra Singh Airee, who shined with both bat and ball, was crucial in the historic win. Airee scored 88 in 101 balls, including 6 fours and 2 sixes and returned to take four wickets for his side to secure the win.
Put into bat by India, Nepali batsmen put up a fighting total of 185 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs.
In reply, India was all out in 48.1 overs with only 166 runs on the board. Captain Himansu Rana top-scored of India with 46 runs followed by Manoj Karla (35), Abhishek Sharma (27), Anuj Rawal (18) and Aditya Thakare (13).
The Nepalis celebrated the rare win against India across the country. Everyone, from senior journalist to young players were belated by the victory of Nepali team.
