A team from World Bank visits Chandragiri Hills

image003A team of The World Bank visited Chandragiri Hills on wednesday. Andin Hadiyanto (Executive Director at the Board of the World Bank), Rehan Rashid (Country Head Nepal-IFC) were present in the team. They were welcomed by Chandra Prasad Dhakal (Chairman of Chandragiri Hills Ltd), Hem Raj Dhakal (Director of Chandragiri Hills Ltd) and their team.
During their visit Hadiyanto appreciated the concept of the project and initiation taken by the private sector in sustainable development of tourism industry in Nepal. He also expressed his hope that private sector would establish similar kinds of project in other parts of the country.
Located at the south-east of Kathmandu Valley, Chandragiri Hills is significant from historical, religious and tourism point of view. This establishment has a purpose of boosting internal tourism as well as luring international tourists and extending their length of stay by least a day.
